Flatten The Mountain Drones vs Turrets

If you only remember one sentence from this list: drones pay you, turrets spend time for you. Mixing them is S. Buying only turrets is a clip. Buying only pickaxe swings is a tutorial you forgot to leave.

S — first drone, second drone on a new face

The first drone is the biggest jump in the game besides mining speed on the Skill Tree. It mines while you open menus, while you scan for chests, and while you watch the eagle ring. The second drone should not sit on top of the first. Park it on a different color or a different compass side so both have voxels.

A — first turret, drone efficiency nodes

One turret earns its keep on thick interior rock the pickaxe animation hates. Efficiency nodes that make drones faster are A because they multiply S-tier workers. A turret before any drone is a demotion: you will evaporate blocks and still be poor.

B — extra turrets, overlapping drone parking

C — turrets aimed at sky, drones left at spawn, Robux skins for workers

If the beam is not hitting a voxel, you bought a flashlight. If the drone is still at the beach umbrella, you bought a pet. Cosmetics for drones rank C until the mountain is a stump.

Parking rules that beat any rank letter

1. Put drones on colored clusters (gold, blue, red) when you can see popups. Brown filler is volume, not payday.
2. Put turrets on the face the eagle is not hugging so you can still see the bird.
3. Cut a notch so workers have a roof. Wind-up animations on a knife-edge terrace are how you and the drone both eat dirt.
4. In co-op, do not stack six turrets on the same corner as five strangers. Pick a side. Call it in chat. Flattening is a pie, not a deathmatch.
5. After a layer drops, move workers down. Auto-farm that keeps shooting empty air is how people think turrets are “weak.”

How many of each?

A working mid-game mix for a solo miner is two drones and one turret, then three drones and two turrets as cash allows. A full 25-player lobby can run lighter personal counts because the server itself is a turret farm. If you are the only person on the instance, overweight drones. You still need cash for the Skill Tree.

We are not printing a fake “best drone tier” with names like “Laser Mk III” that do not appear in official copy. If DomBlox ships named models, this table gets names. Until then, count and placement beat lore.

Common arguments, resolved

“Turrets flatten faster.” They flatten faces faster. They do not refill your shop. If the next Skill Tree node is still locked, the turret did not do its real job.

“Drones are slow.” Compared to a cheated executor, sure. Compared to a starter pickaxe, they are the whole point of the genre. Read script safety if someone is selling you a faster drone.

“I’ll wait for a code to buy both.” The codes hub is empty. Waiting is C-tier.
